Only Indian Tribe Recognized By Federal Government In Alabama Claims Identity

Alabama is home to several exciting gaming establishments. Not only does the state play host to Greyhound Racing, Alabama is also the home of several casinos – though not all of them are exactly what you might call traditional casinos.

The reason that not all of the casinos are considered traditional casinos is because some of them base the majority of their business on bingo. The traditional casino bases their business on slots and table games. The good news is that there are a few casinos in Alabama that do offer both. So, whenever you feel the need to gamble, you can do it in practically any way that you want. Bet on the dog races, play bingo, try your hand at blackjack, roulette, poker or craps, or attempt to beat the one armed bandit.

The Creek Indian Tribe, which is the only Indian tribe recognized by the federal government within the state of Alabama, owns three of these Alabama casinos. The Tallapoosa, Riverside, and Wind Creek Casinos are all owned and operated by PCI. In fact, Wind Creek Casino is the newest edition to Alabama casinos and, of course, to the Creek Indian casinos. The casino just opened in January of 2009 and is the largest casino in the Creek family of casinos. It’s shiny, it’s new and it’s packed with excitement around every corner. However, this hip casino offers much more than just entertainment.

This modern mecca of entertainment also offers a luxurious hotel with stylish, yet comfortable furnishings that will allow you to kick back and relax after a long night of fun on the casino floor. However, the lavish guest rooms are not the only way that the Wind Creek guests are spoiled during their visit. While relaxing in luxury, whatever your stomach desires is just a phone call away at any time. That’s right – 24 hour room service! What better way to end the night than with a tasty midnight snack?

So welcome to Alabama the Wind Creek Casino and Hotel. If you happen to be traveling near Atmore, AL, stop on by and enjoy the finer side of southern hospitality. For more information, please refer to Great American Casino, Ho Chunk Casino Hotel or Hole In The Wall Casino.

  3. I too would rather have a bingo hall over a casino. But really I think there are other worth while things that can be done rather than a casino or bingo hall.
